Six of the best // Personalised children’s books

Both of my little ones adore books. From lift the flap books (I shared all Phoebe’s favourites in this post) to all the Julia Donaldson classics and everything in between, they both love being read to and as a result our home is littered with books, books and more books!

In amongst our collection, we have a number of ‘personalised books’ where Jack and Phoebe feature in the stories and Jack loves them! For him, there is something magical about reading a book that has been personalised with details of his life and it’s super cute to watch. There are a plethora of personalised children’s books on the market, but here are our firm favourites:

1 // My Sing-Along Book and Personalised Music, £26

Your little one will love this personalised book, music CD and MP3 digital download of the music, all personalised with your child’s name throughout the text and music! With classics such as Wheels on the Bus, Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and Baa Baa Black Sheep, this will go down a storm and keep the kids entertained for hours.

2 // The Little Boy Who Lost His Name / The Little Girl Who Lost Her Name, £19.99

The Lost My Name books are beautifully illustrated and a delight to read. In the book, your child loses his/her name and then goes on a journey through the book to retrieve the individual letters, with each book containing a different set of magical stories based on the letters in your child’s name. Jack was given a copy when he was born and four years on, he still seeks it out on his bookcase. It’s also a really special book to buy as a present and it’s my go to present when birthdays come around!

3 // Peppa’s Christmas, £14.99 (softback) or £19.99 (hardback)

Ho ho ho! A magical and snowy festive tale, this book is a must have for your little Peppa Pig fan this Christmas. The quality of the book is great and your little ones will love that their character appears throughout the book alongside Peppa. You can also customise the look of their character to resemble your child to make it even more realistic.

4 // My Pirate Adventure Personalised Book, £23

Make your little pirate the star of the story with this fully personalised adventure on the high seas. Accompanied by lovely illustrations, the pirate ship crew swab the deck, eat breakfast in the galley, sing sea chanteys, use a treasure map, and dig up buried treasure, making it a must buy for your pirate-obsessed mini me.

This Fabulous pirate book (and the sing-along book above) are published by the award-winning company I see me who specialise in personalised books for babies and children. Loved by celebrities such as Courtney Cox, Brooke Shields and Jessica Alba, these beautifully illustrated books are individually made and with over 40 titles to choose from there are books to suit all tastes.

5 // Ben & Holly’s My Birthday Personalised Book, £14.99 (softback) or £19.99 (hardback)

A wonderful birthday gift for any Little Kingdom fan, this fab personalised Ben and Holly book will show your child that you don’t always need fairy magic to show how much you care.

Penwizard, the publishers of this book (and the Peppa Pig featured above) have a brilliant selection of personalised books including a number of familiar faces including the characters from In the Night Garden and The Snowman and the Snowdog, as well as Disney, Marvel or Nickelodeon stars.

6 // The Magic Chair, £14.99

The Magic Chair is a wonderfully illustrated story that will take your little one on a magical journey under the sea, into the jungle and to outer space. Your little one will become the star of the story and you can personalise the book to include your child’s name and mirror their appearance.

I’ve heard about these kind of books and saw the Lost My Name advert the other day. You’ve just inspired me to get one so I’ve purchased it for Theo (went for the full version of Theodore to get more story out of it!) and it’ll be in his pile of crimbo pressies! ???? XxxReplyCancel

Ah brilliant choice. It’s such a lovely keepsake too xxReplyCancel

I bought the book for my nephew last Christmas and was hoping someone would buy it for my son but no such luck. It makes me regret not choosing a longer name though – the story will be over quite quickly for Max! Sadly Max is a Peppa Pig fan though, so that would probably be a better bet.ReplyCancel
