Last January I wrote this post featuring my New Year’s resolutions. There were goals focusing on achieving a better work/life balance, goals to drink more water and look after my skin better (I’ve achieved the latter, but still fail miserably at the water consumption) and as with all New Year’s resolutions, there were the goals to get fit, lose weight and eat more healthily.
One year and a few months on, I feel like I’m back in the same space I was last January! Don’t get me wrong I did get fitter in 2015 with the help of a wonderful PT and I trained for a half marathon in October. But since the half marathon has been and gone I seem to have slipped back into my old ways and my weekly game of netball is not cutting the mustard on the fitness front!
Likewise my eating has been all over the place. At the start of the year I was using my Nutribullet daily (it’s ingenious btw!) and felt healthier than ever, but slowly the unhealthy food crept back in and over the Christmas period I consumed my body weight in Chocolate Oranges!
My lack of willpower doesn’t help nor does my impatience (I want results instantly!) so when I was offered the chance to review the Results with Lucy New Beginnings Plan, I was pretty excited.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Results with Lucy, it’s an online fitness and nutrition website created by TOWIE star Lucy Mecklenburgh (who has the most incredible body!). Results with Lucy offer a number of different online fitness plans allowing you to work out in the comfort of your own home with your own virtual personal trainer. This is such a good idea and ideal for mums like me who need to work out around nap times / after bed time.
The New Beginnings Plan is a 13 week programme that not only offers an exercise programme to follow with workouts 4 times a week, it also offers a daily meal plan which I am really excited about as I really struggle on the food front when I’m trying to eat healthily and tend to have one or two go-to healthy dishes that become rather boring day after day. There are also hundreds of additional healthy recipes on offer at the touch of a button if a dish doesn’t take your fancy.
The New Beginnings Plan currently costs £49 and Results with Lucy offer a money back guarantee if you don’t get the results you’re after when following the programme.
I’ve taken some ‘before’ photos and various body measurements which I will share with you after the 13 weeks alongside the ‘after’ versions, so keep your eyes peeled and I’ll do an update post half way through the plan to let you know how I’m getting on. In the meantime check out the Results with Lucy instagram and twitter feeds for motivational quotes, videos and real life results photos.
Dislosure: I have been signed up to the 13 week New Beginnings Plan free of charge for the purpose of this review, however all opinions are my own.
