I even attempted my first ever video using my mkiii, although as you can see I made the rookie error of shooting some of it in portrait mode, doh!

April has been a lovely little month, but seems to have flown by far too quickly. As every month passes by in the blink of an eye, the end of my maternity leave seems to be edging ever closer, sob!

Thankfully Spring has finally sprung and we have been enjoying the milder weather; we’ve even managed to squeeze in a few ‘garden picnics’ over the last few weeks and on more than one occasion, needed to use our Babymoov Sun tent to shield the little ones from the rays. Jack now calls it our ‘picnic tent’ and it’s really cute watching the two of them cosy up in it.

We had a lovely Easter at home with my sister and her family, having the obligatory easter egg hunt for the kiddies in the garden and then OD’ing on all the chocolate afterwards! For Andy and I it has been a month of weddings and stag parties, sporting fixtures and fitness training (my half marathon is looming ever closer!). And the little ones have had a hectic month too. Jack had his first ‘concert’ experience watching Justin & Friends: Mr Tumble’s Circus with Andy and a little buddy from nursery. He was totally enthralled by it and had a whale of a time apparently. He also went to see ‘Room on the Broom’ at The Lowry Theatre in Manchester which he thoroughly enjoyed. Phoebs has learnt to crawl and is now unstoppable! She finds it particularly hilarious when you are trying to get her ready for bed and she crawls off at the speed of light, giggling away to herself, encouraged by her big brother of course! We have also started ‘rhythm time’ classes which she seems to enjoy and she is still loving her weekly swimming lessons with Aquababies and her baby sensory class.

Looks like you had a lovely day there, I’ve never been to Chatsworth but have heard it’s fab.

I’m trying to take more videos now too, especially now Joshua has joined the family. I’m currently going through my videos and putting together annual videos, I’m currently working on 2013…!! I’ve also learnt to video in landscape rather than portrait :-) What did you use to put yours together, I’m using iMovie?

Matt and I finally got a family photo of the 4 of us when a kind passerby saw me taking photos of Matt and the kids with my D700 and asked if we wanted to have one together, she did a really good job despite her apprehension when she saw the camera!! Just got to keep it up now.
