Inspiring interiors // A beautiful polka dot nursery

grey1Just because you’re decorating for a little person, it doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice on style. So over the coming months, I will be featuring beautiful and inspiring nurseries that will demonstrate how your baby’s nursery is the perfect place to be really creative with a relatively small space.

I’m kick starting this new ‘Inspiring interiors’ feature off with a stylish nursery designed by stylist Melanie Kluger for her beautiful daughter Zoe.

Over to Melanie…”We designed her nursery to have a soft, modern vibe.  There wasn’t one overall theme but rather hints of travel, bold prints and animals.  I placed several special touches such as a teacup from my sister that I used as a vase, the note that her dad wrote the morning she was born, and art prints that I hand painted to be reminiscent of some of my favorite prints by Anna Rifle Bond.  It was such a thrill the first night we came home from the hospital and were able to change her, hold her, and rock her to sleep in the nursery.  We had spent so much time creating a room for her that it was surreal to actually be there with her!”

I adore this light and airy nursery; from the clothes hanging on the very cute animal hooks to the fabulous polka dots, Zoe is one lucky little lady!

Your daughter is beautiful. You are very blessed. I love her little outfits hanging on the wall. I never would have thought that polka dots were stylish in any way but you’ve proved me wrong. The nursery is really classy, perfect for a little one. Love the colour scheme. Again, grey and orange would never have been my choice but it looks great, I’m amazed. You’ve a really good eye for style! # sharefridayReplyCancel
