A few weeks ago, we were lucky enough to leave the rather predictably chilly bank holiday behind over Easter and spend a week in Mallorca’s wonderful South-West corner with my sister and her family.
Easter Sunday couldn’t come soon enough as far as the children were concerned as they had spotted the chocolate stash very early on, and were keen for their detective skills to be put to the test so that they could gorge themselves silly.
Boden were kind enough to sponsor our Easter wardrobe, so not to boast, but it was a lovely warm morning and dressed in their Boden towelling throw-ons (good job they wash well..) the children had the perfect excuse to eat all of their treasures before they melted. Do they ever get too old to be thrilled by the chocolate chase? I hope not, it’s incredibly sweet to see them working as a team to find all of the eggs and share them out equally. (I’m pretty sure I scoffed everything I laid my eyes on before my sister could get her sticky hands on them when I was younger?!)

Easter is always a bit unpredictable in Mallorca, but we were very lucky with the weather and spent our days by the pool and the sea (both FREEZING!), while the cousins played happily, oblivious to the icebergs in the water.

Mallorca really is a wonderful island, we come here a lot and absolutely love it. The sun shines, there are beautiful beaches and mountains and the food is delicious. I’ll be putting up a Part 2 to this post over the next few weeks, sharing some of our favourite places on the island, including a few lesser known hidden gems, and also detailing a few fun things to keep you occupied when you’re not sunbathing such as the brilliant bike route in Palma complete with fun playgrounds en-route.
